[Editorial Note: In this conversation, Michael J. Garanzini, S.J., President of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU), joins Casey C. Beaumier, S.J., Vice President and University Secretary of Boston College and Director of the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies, to reflect on the origins, development, and ongoing impact of the Mission Priority Examen (MPE). As a collaborative process designed to strengthen Jesuit identity and mission alignment across Jesuit higher education institutions, the MPE has become a vital tool for institutional reflection and renewal. Garanzini shares his perspective on how the process was conceived, the challenges it has addressed, and the values it continues to affirm within Jesuit universities.]
